My Review:

Warning, though I try my best to avoid this, all reviews can contain spoilers of some kind. If you would like to know just my overall opinion of the book, and otherwise go into reading it blind, please scroll down to my overall and would I recommend it section.

I Voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Whenever I think of Christmas so many things come to mind, but the one element that strikes me the most is that warm, safe, loving feeling. The one that just magically appears whenever you summon up the image that time of year. This book brings out that feeling through every page like it got sprinkled with some snow from Santa’s sleigh.

Our story begins with small town Evergreen’s one and only veterinarian Allie Shawn, getting ready for the event that will change her life, a big move to the city of Washington DC. This exciting new chapter of her life doesn’t just come with a flashy new job and nice apartment, but a chance to rekindle love with the man that distance kept at bay. For Allie, leaving her life in her small mountain town isn’t just a quest for love and money, but a journey long in the making inspired by the man she looked up to the most, her grandfather.

Doctor Ryan Bellamy wants nothing more than to give his little girl Zoe a christmas away form the memories of losing her mother. Ryan makes a plan to have a tropical cruise for the holidays but Zoe’s not so keen on the idea. Ryan takes Zoe on a road trip before the long flight, but when stomachs growl he has no choice but to make a quick stop in the small town of Evergreen, a town that houses a special snow globe with a breathtaking scene of Evergreen depicted inside. More than just the mini version of Evergreen gets a snowy shake when Zoe makes a wish on the town’s magical snow globe.

The feels in this book start right away when Allie starts to actually begin the process of moving. It’s easy to tell she is excited to start the next chapter in her life, but there seems to be something off. Her small town isn’t just big on Christmas, they are a tight knit community that feels more like a big family, which is something that starts to stand out her in a big way. This really took the romance element of this book to the next level for me, I loved how that warm feeling of Christmas extended to included the whole town rather than just the main characters and their families. Quick, check my pulse, I think my heart melted by an open fire after reading this fantastic story.

Ryan is such an amazing man and father that throughout the book people around me probably thought I was a broken record that kept saying “aww.” His devotion to his daughter is fantastic, and his determination is what has gotten him to where he is in his career. That tender love soon spreads to Allie, and his determination to have her in his life makes for some swoon worthy moments. Honestly, there are some scenes in this book that had my heart pounding like a girl falling in love for the first time. Yet, Ryan is not an alpha male that takes what he wants, instead he works for it with a respect and sweet desire that will win any woman over.

While there are so many scenes in this book that are like love filled boxes tied with a Christmas bow, there is a lot of fun to be had as well. Ryan and Allie fall into step with one another right away, and find themselves comfortable enough to drop pretenses and just have almost childlike fun with one another. This amped up the magic of this story for me. The fun they have pulled my inner child out and helped me feel the Christmas Spirit despite this hot July month.

I really love how Allie and Ryan find themselves in each other in their own very different ways. It’s always nice to see a story where the characters can’t even see that there is something missing, or wrong until the problem gets solved on its own. Because of the situations in their lives, I also really enjoyed how both of them come to see what’s happening and find a way to embrace it.

This book has a magic all its own, but the mystery of the snow globe is presented so well that I couldn’t help but feel a little like a member of the town who knows about it but not quite why or how it works. While the unknown of a magical item or power in a book can sometimes be frustrating, in this book it only added to the true feeling of Christmas. No matter what time of year, this book will pull you in and make you want a large cup of coco to go with the romance.

There is also a very yummy recipe at the end of the book you wont want to miss.

Overall:
This was a very special feel good romance that brought the Christmas magic alive for me. Both Allie and Ryan are easy to fall in love with and their sweet personalities match beautifully. While the couple is spectacular, the way this whole town pulls together and forms one big loving family is very special and adds to the festive feel of the book.

No matter what time of year, this story will put a jingle in your heart and make you dream of snuggling on the couch with the person you love by a beautiful Christmas tree.

Would I Recommend It:
In a heart beat. This book is a must read for any and all romance and christmas lovers. It will leave you with a warm glowing feeling you will never want to wear off.
